I'm not kidding when I say that! I was able to gift each student with a water bottle. For every sight word module a student passes off, they are able to pick one sticker to put on their water bottle. This incentive has been a game changer for my students. They are so excited to practice their words and pass off to get a new sticker to decorate their water bottle with. I also teach at a title one school and most students do not have their own water bottle. Now, water bottles are filled in the mornings and students are able to drink throughout the day from their desk. I was feeling bad that so much classroom time was being missed when students needed to walk to the drinking fountain. This has been amazing for my students! We also love the operation symbols, as they are large and students can refer to them when trying to remember which operation we are working on.\r\nThe paddles have also been great when we are working on blending and segmenting sounds to spell and read words. The students love having their own paddles and using manipulatives to figure out how many sounds are in the word.
