So many students do not know the story these days. My goal is and was to bring the true story to life aside from the students just watching the more recent film adaptations, which may be their only true experience with the book. \r\n\r\nAs I myself was re-reading the novel I remembered how eloquently William Golding tells the story. Moreover, in today's world it is essential that our youth have as many opportunities for character development as possible. The obvious divisions between the boys in the plane crash allow the students to see where the human and child psyche can go afoul quickly when we find ourselves in a \"dog eat dog\" type of environment. I hope that the classes (as I have had to pass the torch to a new teacher) learned as much as I did about character, how not to slip down the dark path, and of course improved their reading lexile.","fullyFundedDate":1768689260908,"projectUrl":"project/lord-of-the-flies-classic-literature/9985372/","projectTitle":"Lord of the Flies, Classic Literature","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dillon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10375700"},{"teacherId":8612791,"projectId":9776645,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible generosity in helping us restock our classroom supplies.
