This is my first teaching assignment, and I am beyond excited to work with my students as they study life science in their first lab setting. The only problem is I am missing some basic instructional materials to be successful. One of the things that had the most impact on me during my science classes was examining things under a microscope. It's a fascinating perspective. I want to share that sense of wonderment and awe, but we can only do that with functioning microscopes. The atom model will provide a visual for a difficult concept to understand. The greenhouse lab will be used to introduce the concept of climate change. These items will allow my students to do real hands-on learning.
