They drink so much water because there are days that are hot and we only have water fountain water which is outside so the water can be warm or even hot. The water filter is a good addition to keeping my kiddos hydrated and cooled off. The children ice packs has saved us so many trips to the health room and is an easy 'fix' to those small booboos.\r\nI am excited to have the water cooler in the classroom because this will eliminate the amount of disposable water bottles I've been buying my kiddos who don't have water bottles and I hope it'll encourage parents to send their kiddo with a reusable water bottle. The rolling whiteboards have made a big difference. Instead of working only at their desks, students now gather in small groups to solve problems, map out ideas, and explain their thinking. It's been great to see more participation and discussion as they work through challenges together.\r\n\r\nThe LEGO NASA sets immediately grabbed their attention. When students first saw the Saturn V rocket and Mars Rover, they were genuinely excited. We used the builds to connect to lessons about engineering design, problem-solving, and space exploration. Students had to follow detailed plans, work patiently, and collaborate when they ran into challenges. It naturally led to conversations about how real engineers test, revise, and improve their designs.\r\n\r\nThe dry erase markers and magnets help us fully use the whiteboards each day for modeling concepts, group brainstorming, and quick formative checks. Students are more willing to share their thinking when they can write it out, adjust it, and build on each other's ideas.\r\n\r\nNext, students are applying what they've learned by designing their own space exploration concepts, focusing on planning, structure, and clear presentation of ideas. The size, texture and colorful appearance of the die make them easy for even our youngest children to use and play with safely. The words on the bigger die encourage older children to read and follow instructions while interacting with one another.\r\nRecently our FRC hosted a wonderful \"Culture Night\" event at the school which was attended not only by our families but also community partners and the wider community. There was an opportunity for our students to once again use our die as part of STEM activities that were run by our Middle School STEM teacher.
