Your support has given our students an important tool that helps them participate more fully and proudly in their learning. The printer allows us to create visual schedules, step-by-step directions, and personalized worksheets that meet each child's unique needs. Printed pictures, charts, and large-print materials help many of our students better understand routines and concepts, and this has made our classroom calmer, more organized, and more accessible for everyone. Our students are especially excited to see their own work printed. They love turning their stories, drawings, and projects into \"real\" papers they can hold, share, and take home to their families. For many of them, this simple step makes their hard work feel important and celebrated. One child who often struggles to stay focused now works more carefully, knowing his finished work will be printed and displayed on our classroom wall. Another student, who communicates best with pictures, proudly helps print out choice boards and labels for the class, giving him a leadership role and a sense of ownership.Thank you again for investing in our students and in the tools that help them learn in ways that work best for them. These materials were instrumental in the success of our recent door decorating project and have had a profoundly positive impact on our students.\r\n\r\nThe supplies allowed our students to fully unleash their creativity and take true ownership of the project. The watercolor paper elevated the quality of their artwork, providing a rich, professional surface that encouraged greater care and effort in their designs. The color printer enabled the students to incorporate vibrant, detailed digital elements, adding a layer of sophistication and personalization to their work that would not have been possible otherwise. Finally, the laminating sheets ensured their hard work was preserved, protecting the final decorations from damage and adding a durable, high-quality finish.\r\n\r\nThe resulting display is one that our students are immensely proud of. The project fostered collaboration, artistic skill, and a strong sense of pride in our classroom environment. Knowing that their work is displayed so prominently and with such high-quality materials has boosted their confidence and morale, making our learning space feel more special and valued.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your commitment to our students and for providing the resources that make projects like this possible. The classroom supplies for my students in reading RtI groups are really helping them learn to read! I've already seen so much growth in all of my students!\r\n\r\nWe use the highlighters almost daily so that students can search for our phonics focus letters and high frequency words in decodable text. The storage boxes are working great for students to store the gems they earn and students love being about to earn the fruit snacks for working hard during class! The reading materials such as the CVC word Reading Rods are an awesome tool to help students learn how to put sounds together and blend them. The same goes for the Reading Rods with prefixes and suffixes! This helps my older readers with reading multisyllabic words. I've been able to create a number of alphabet games using the cardstock and copy paper. \r\n\r\nOne exciting thing is looking at the student data because every student has made progress in their foundational reading skills! For example, at the start of groups, I had a student who only knew 11 high frequency words. Now, at the mid-year mark, that student knows 100 high frequency words! In another group, I had a student who could not read any CVC words at the beginning of the year because he did not know his vowel sounds. That same student now knows all 5 vowel sounds and was able to read 14 out of 15 CVC words accurately on his mid-year test! \r\n\r\nThe best part of my job is seeing these students' confidence build greater and greater with each class. Reading has become accessible to them. The materials and the supplies from this Donors Choose make learning to read fun and engaging! They WANT to read!!! The board games make abstract math concepts tangible—students practice strategic thinking, number sense, and problem-solving in low-stress, collaborative settings—while ELA games build vocabulary, grammar, and reading-comprehension through play and storytelling. Headphones allow small-group stations and independent practice without noise distraction, so students who need extra processing time or quiet focus can work at their own pace. Together these resources have increased participation, improved fluency with key skills, and made formative observation and targeted feedback much easier during differentiated activities.\r\nStudents are most excited by the social and playful elements of the new materials. The board games turn practice into a challenge they choose to revisit, bringing energy and friendly competition to skills that used to feel repetitive. They love tracking progress as a team, celebrating small wins, and inventing strategies—this intrinsic motivation translates into longer sustained practice and better retention. The headphones add a layer of independence and personalization: learners can listen to audio passages, guided prompts, or read-alouds at a comfortable level without interruption, which many students find empowering and calming. These items have fostered a more inclusive classroom by supporting diverse learning needs and cultural strengths. Students who are English learners, those with attention differences, and learners who struggle with traditional worksheets have all warmed to the games and audio-supported practice—one student with anxiety now volunteers to lead a math round because the small-team format feels safer, and an emergent reader has jumped two reading levels after repeated, confidence-building play with literacy games plus headphone-guided read-alouds. By providing choice, lowering barriers to participation, and enabling differentiated instruction, the donated materials have helped more students access grade-level standards with confidence and joy.","fullyFundedDate":1759457110375,"projectUrl":"project/all-abilities-one-game-learning-throu/9777447/","projectTitle":"\"All Abilities, One Game: Learning Through Inclusion\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Yanos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9407536"},{"teacherId":9273211,"projectId":9773046,"letterContent":"The math and reading manipulatives have completely transformed our small-group instruction.
