From keyboards that make writing easier to books that spark important conversations, every item will truly make a difference in their daily lives. I'm so grateful that you chose to invest in them and our classroom community.\r\n\r\nDuring writing time, students were able to type more confidently on their iPads, which helped them focus on their ideas instead of struggling with the screen keyboard. We've also started using the dice during math to turn review into games, and engagement has noticeably increased—students are more willing to participate and collaborate.\r\n\r\nThe books will help me spar meaningful conversations, especially around perseverance and handling challenges once the time to use them comes. Organizational tools like the hooks, Velcro, and magnetic shelves have made our classroom run more smoothly, giving students easier access to materials and more responsibility for keeping our space tidy. The neon sign and owl have become special symbols in our room—the owl represents our school's disposition of self-motivate and reminds students to stay focused, make good choices, and take ownership of their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1759501036814,"projectUrl":"project/we-can-do-hard-things/9778115/","projectTitle":"We Can Do Hard Things","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10050220_orig.jpg?crop=288,288,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757562386749","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10050220"},{"teacherId":9967570,"projectId":9773961,"letterContent":"As soon as the Magnatiles arrived the students were so excited! Students were able to see the connection between multiplication and division and represent these concepts in multiple ways. The use of whiteboards and markers has made learning more engaging and has significantly increased student participation. Students were excited to use the whiteboards to share their thinking and explain their ideas, while also receiving immediate feedback and correcting mistakes. Laminating sheets were used to create reusable flashcards and reference materials that support partner and small-group learning. Students enjoyed sorting, matching, and quizzing one another on various topics, which further reinforced their understanding. Many of our students with diverse sensory needs enjoy squeezing the sand and feeling the pompoms, which help them stay engaged during the activity. Our students also have fun discovering images on the Shake and Reveal cards. One of the simplest, yet most popular toys from the project is the Mickey Mouse Jack in the Box. So many of our students request to play with this toy! We use it to elicit requests, turn-taking, describing (e.g. turn fast or turn slow), describing feelings (e.g. surprised, excited).
