This helped increase student engagement with not only the learners that are in Yearbook, but across the school and community. \r\n\r\nThe learners were lucky to have a professional photographer from the community come in and show them how to use the cameras, and also talk about his profession. This excited the learners in that there is so many opportunities that come through the lens of a camera. Learners were also engaged with other learners throughout the school all year gathering photos to use for school yearbook. This strengthened peer connection and promoted joy during class and school events. \r\n\r\nMy favorite was of the learners capturing memories of our school's Makahiki Games, and seeing the learners get creative with their photo taking. Our Yearbook for this year is almost finished for the year to be sent off and printed and I can't wait to see and feel the success of our learners of a leadership project well done. So far, the sticky pads and tennis balls are a big hit. Plus, they really enjoy the activity dice. Every recess, their SEL is on display as they create and maintain positive relationships with their peers, understand and manage their emotions and show responsible decision making. \r\n As a PBL school, our next steps are to begin introducing these items and games to another class.
