They were given a task of ceating a shelter for keeping a cup of ice cold lemonade cold when sitting out in the sun. We had a day of exploring the materials before building their project. \r\nBy providing them the tools to do the project on their own, it allowed for more personal and individual projects, and not to relay on me to help them cut the cardboard. I used to have to use the box cutter, or bigger adult scissors to help them.
