Each morning, our students begin their day by working with these puzzles, and it has quickly become one of their favorite routines. Not only do they love the challenge, but puzzles also give them a chance to practice problem-solving, perseverance, and focus in a fun and engaging way. They are learning to look closely at details, think critically, and celebrate small successes as they put each piece into place.\r\n\r\nBeyond building cognitive skills, puzzles also benefit our students socially and emotionally. Working alongside their classmates, they practice sharing, taking turns, and encouraging one another. This calming and predictable morning activity helps set a positive tone for the day, giving our students a confident and focused start. Recess has become an even more meaningful time for them to connect and grow as friends.\r\n\r\nYour donation is also supporting our students' physical development in important ways. Jumping, running, balancing, and tossing help strengthen their coordination, endurance, and overall fitness. Our string lights provide the calm tranquility that every student and adult needs to thrive and the reading teepee has been a wonderful motivator for them to practice independent/partner reading. The foot wiggle bands are the most amazing outlet for my students with excessive energy and is just enjoyable for the ones who just want the freedom to move! The younger students engage in sensory activities while the older student will put in their best effort for a reward opportunity to play in the sand. \r\n\r\nThe most impactful tool we were so grateful to receive was the sand and sand trays for our kinesthetic learning. If you could have seen the look on their faces when the custodians just kept unloading HUGE boxes outside of our classroom. I was a little disappointed, only at the custodians, because I was planning to have our class elf deliver them. (Haha!) It was a Christmas surprise for sure!\r\n\r\nWe are using them mostly for stations, but the students really ask for anything they do to be done \"on the new seats.\" They love to read books, complete chromebook work, and just lounge on the seats. I am telling them that we have to keep them in the best of shape- so no \"flopping around\" or eating on them. We are having to assign days to certain students for the seating, because the arguing and \"calling dibs\" has already began. \r\n\r\nWe hope that you enjoy the pictures that we have attached. People like you are what make teaching easier! The resources and supplies we receive are great, but teachers spend a ton of our own money getting things like these for our classroom.
