Your generosity has helped transform a corner of our classroom into a space where students can feel comfortable, slow down, and genuinely enjoy reading.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new reading nook, they were immediately excited. The new seating, bookshelf, pillows, baskets, decorations, and \"Cool Kids Read Books\" sign made the space feel special and inviting. One of my favorite things has been watching students choose the reading nook on their own—whether they are reading independently, working with a classmate, discussing a text, or simply finding a comfortable place to focus.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new resources to make literacy feel like an experience rather than just another assignment. Students can grab a book from the rotating bookshelf, settle into the nook, and have a space that feels welcoming and different from a traditional desk.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will use this space for independent reading, close reading, small-group discussions, writing, and collaborative literacy activities. My hope is that this reading nook continues to be a place where students discover books they love, strengthen their reading stamina, and become more confident readers and writers.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing not only in our classroom, but in my students. You have given them a space that tells them reading matters, their comfort matters, and this classroom belongs to them, too.
