They were full of curiosity, asking lots of questions about how to properly use them. As they practiced focusing on distant trees, they were excited to observe details they hadn't noticed before. One of the highlights was spotting the pollen bursting from the pine trees, which sparked a review discussion about how trees reproduce. Students were eager to get a closer look and they happily shared their binoculars with a partner, demonstrating great teamwork and excitement.\r\n\r\nA few students accidentally used their binoculars backward at first, laughing as they exclaimed that everything looked tiny! It was a fun learning experience as they figured out how to adjust the focus and use them correctly. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it's clear that these binoculars will be a valuable tool for outdoor exploration. We look forward to incorporating them into more activities throughout the rest of the year and introducing them to new students in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1739485953768,"projectUrl":"project/zooming-in-on-wildlife-as-we-learn-about/9107813/","projectTitle":"Zooming in on Wildlife as We Learn About Ecosystems","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. S","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9920786_orig.png?crop=412,412,x0,y56&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739537529597","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9920786"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50231","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":429,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":88,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":60,"percentWhite":22,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"12.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":53.6,"schoolId":50231,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Double Churches Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Double Churches Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/muscogee-county-school-district/double-churches-middle-school/50231"}
