In our inclusion classroom, it is so important that students with disabilities receive the support they need while still remaining connected to their peers and classroom community. We are currently waiting for funding for our interactive board cart so we can begin fully utilizing the Smart Board, and our students ask almost every day when they will finally get to use it.\r\n\r\nEven though students have not yet had the opportunity to work with the board themselves, the excitement and anticipation has been incredible to see. They are eager to interact with lessons in a hands-on way, and many are especially excited about being able to come up to the board to participate during instruction. For our students with disabilities, this technology will provide visual, tactile, and engaging learning experiences that help build confidence and increase participation while allowing them to remain in their learning environment with peers.\r\n\r\nAs we wrap up this school year, we are looking forward to beginning next year with new opportunities for inclusive instruction and interactive learning.
