For starters, the rug purchased sits directly in the middle of our classroom. It is a gathering spot for our class. Multiple times a day students come to the rug for lessons, activities, and class discussions. As students sit around the rug, they understand that they are part of a classroom community. Their opinions matter, and their voice is heard. They also understand that the rug is a place of learning, and they feel comfortable taking chances because they are all working together to grow their minds. The students know their desks are their individual space of study, but the rug represents unity to our class, and we love learning and growing in this space together!\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the donation covered many organization items that keep our class moving along each day. We are grateful for the rolling cabinets that are used to house our center supplies. We love the many lamps that provide dimmed lighting and a calming atmosphere. Fidget games, magnatiles, and pop-it games are doing wonders to help us learn math and phonics.\r\n\r\nOur class is so grateful for the support received through this program.
