Their eyes lit up as we unboxed the wobble stools, floor cushions, and seating options. They couldn't wait to test them out and immediately started asking how we would incorporate them into our daily routines. Seeing their genuine excitement and energy made the unboxing moment feel like a holiday morning.\r\n\r\nSince setting up our new seating arrangements, our daily learning environment has completely transformed. During our independent reading and small-group collaboration time, students are now able to choose a spot that best fits their learning style and physical needs. For example, during our recent reading workshop, students who used to struggle with remaining still were able to gently move on wobble stools or settle comfortably on floor cushions, staying engaged with their books for the entire independent reading block without distraction.\r\n\r\nHaving these flexible options allows my students to take ownership of their learning environment, improving their focus, comfort, and engagement. As we move into our upcoming research and group project unit, these seating options will continue to give students the flexibility to collaborate effectively in small groups across the room.
