Using the materials you helped provide, they explored how goods, ideas, technologies, and cultural traditions traveled across Afro-Eurasia. Rather than simply memorizing trade routes on a map, they experienced the challenges of long-distance trade, negotiated exchanges, and discovered how interconnected the world was centuries before modern globalization.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see our classroom transform into a historical marketplace! The opportunity to work with hands-on materials made the lesson feel less like a traditional assignment and more like an experience. \r\n\r\nOur next step is to build on this experience as we investigate how expanding trade networks facilitated cultural exchange, technological diffusion, and the spread of disease. Students will use what they learned during the simulation to develop historical arguments supported by evidence, strengthening the analytical and writing skills they will need for the AP World History exam.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped me create the kind of classroom where curiosity drives learning and students become active investigators of the past.
