Thanks to the investments from you, our \"angel investors,\" the addition of the Cricut machine, heat press, and materials turned our classroom into a hub of creativity, innovation, and real-world learning. \r\n\r\nThis semester, I challenged students to identify problems within our school community and design a personalized solution. Students were tasked with developing a functional prototype—moving beyond theory and into tangible creation. The excitement was palpable when they first saw the new equipment. They immediately started dreaming up ideas and possibilities, and the energy in the room shifted from curiosity to full-on engagement.\r\n\r\nIn class, one student shared how the project helped her grow new skills in collaboration and creativity, realizing how these elements are essential to building a successful business. Another reflected on how the experience pushed her to think outside the box, refine her ideas, and gain confidence in her ability to turn imagination into impact.\r\nOur 10th grade LEAP students are now deep into the design thinking process and practicing essential literacy skills by writing professional permission letters to request access to tools and materials, blending ELA with entrepreneurship in a meaningful way. In fact we're almost ready to launch our digital store! Your contribution didn't just provide materials for a group of teens, it opened the door for students to explore real-world problem solving, creativity, and communication in ways that will stay with them long after the project ends.
