Because of your generosity, my students now start their day with something simple yet powerful: a snack. For many of my ASD Level 3 learners, hunger shows up as frustration, avoidance, or low energy. Having consistent snacks has genuinely changed the tone of our mornings.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments happened during a recent lab activity. A student who typically shuts down before we begin quietly grabbed his snack, ate, and then jumped right into setting up his materials. His confidence that day was different, and it all started with having his basic needs met. Moments like that remind me how essential your support is.\r\n\r\nMy students have been using these snacks to fuel their learning since the beginning of the year, helping them regulate their emotions and stay engaged longer. As we move into our following units in physics and chemistry, these resources will continue to help stabilize their routines and give them the energy they need to participate fully.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for giving them something that truly supports their success. We have already begun using the supplies to launch our student-run microenterprise labs, where students collaborate to research ingredients, design eco-friendly products, and practice sustainable growing and production techniques. The excitement in the room when they first saw the candle-making tools, soap molds, and microgreen growing trays was incredible—students immediately began brainstorming scent blends, discussing compostable packaging, and sharing ideas for marketing and sales.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite classroom moments so far happened during our first candle-pouring lesson. Students were measuring oils, melting beeswax, and adding essential oils while discussing how their product could reflect environmental stewardship and customer needs. Across the room, another group was tending to our first batch of microgreens, enthusiastically checking growth progress and discussing pricing models for future farm-to-table sales. They weren't just learning—they were thinking like entrepreneurs and proudly calling themselves \"agripreneurs.\"\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our students are not only engaging in sustainable agriculture and agricultural sciences—they're gaining confidence, creativity, and business skills that they can carry into the real world. Our next steps include developing branding and labeling for our products, building a small marketing plan, and preparing for our first student-led pop-up shop on campus. Your donation is truly helping students grow—both plants and their entrepreneurial mindset—and we are so grateful you chose to invest in their futures.","fullyFundedDate":1747071819894,"projectUrl":"project/growing-future-agripreneurs-sustainable/9089864/","projectTitle":"Growing Future Agripreneurs: Sustainable Soaps, Candles, & Microgreens","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Settles Livers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3212809_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1537557816003","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3212809"},{"teacherId":9770441,"projectId":9532045,"letterContent":"My students are loving the chairs! I have noticed that some students are even calmer than they were at the table. They are like a totally different student in the chair. The chairs are \"Magic Chairs\" \r\n\r\nHow did they react??? I said sure.\r\n\r\nAs we started to sew the quilt using the sewing machine, the sewing machine started tiring the material. So we stopped. We stopped the project.
