My students are participating in an AgSTEM program to learn about sustainability. We use our resources to make a school-based enterprise for the child to learn an entrepreneurial skills with a science-geared focus in order to promote an interdisciplinary learning environment. Students will use the painting materials to make journals for local schools out of recycled paper material. They will create and sell candles with the holders being of recycled materials. They will grow produce and vegetables in order to learn "farm-to-table" practices, all while tracking sales and money management. We want to promote science, business, stewardship, and community.
