This table has been such a welcome addition to the classroom. \r\n\r\nTo close out our unit on Spending Choices, we hold a one-day Kindergarten Market wherein each class creates a business selling goods or services. The students \"work\" in their business to earn an income that they can spend at the other Kinder shops. Our class decided to open a Kids Tattoo shop. The Learning Table served as our cashier's station. \r\n\r\nThe table is truly multipurpose. We use it daily for our phonics block listening center. It is also a popular location for students' morning tub activities, independent reading, and I regularly use the space to provide one-on-one instruction. Due to its size, we can easily move it around the classroom. The shape allows all the students to congregate around the table without overcrowding. I am excited to use it as a lab table for an upcoming Science unit on how the sun effects earth materials.
