They've gone beyond just reading—acting out mini plays using the books as inspiration and taking virtual tours of Mexico and Colombia to explore their cultures, traditions, and foods. \r\n\r\nThe books about Mexico introduced us to tacos, and the students got to make their own, bringing the experience to life. When we read about Colombian traditions, we decided to make arepas, turning what we learned into a hands-on memory they won't forget. These activities helped students connect with the cultures in a meaningful way, making learning feel real and exciting. \r\n\r\nThrough these books, students are not only improving their Spanish skills but also gaining a deeper appreciation for Latin American cultures. They are learning about important figures, customs, and celebrations that shape different communities.
