They were especially thrilled by the aprons and dishes because it made them feel like \"real chefs.\" Several students asked, \"Are we really cooking?\" and couldn't wait to get started. The new setup made learning feel meaningful and fun, and even students who are usually hesitant were eager to participate.\r\n\r\nNext, we're building on these skills by following simple recipes, practicing measuring ingredients, and planning full meals together. Students will continue working on teamwork, kitchen safety, and independent cleanup routines. These resources have quickly become a natural part of our daily routines and emotional-regulation strategies.\r\n\r\nMany of the items are already supporting classroom activities. The rain stick and sensory timer help guide mindfulness breaks, the slug fidget offers quiet grounding during reading, and the sloth book has become a student favorite. We are especially excited to begin using the liquid timer pens to encourage scholars who struggle with writing to participate more confidently. Having such a wide variety of sensory options soft, hard, click-based, swaying, and vibrating allows each student to find what works best for them.\r\n\r\nAn unexpected and heartwarming benefit is that scholars from other classrooms have also been able to use these tools when they need a moment to reset.
