The students received a book shelf, throws, and small pillow cases for throw pillows. The students will come into the room every morning, and after putting up their jackets, and book bags, they will run to the reading corner, grab a book and a throw blanket and read books, and look at the pictures. We get books from our principal and books that we want to read to your students and they enjoy sitting in the reading corner on bean bags with their friends. \r\nWhen the students first saw the new reading area, they were screaming with excitement. And it has been like that ever since! The come into the room after every transition and go straight to the reading area. \r\nI have not come up with anymore projects for my classroom. Although I am open to ideas about how to expand reading for my students. I am currently working on phonic sounds and sights words with my students, this is a special education class with multiple grades, ages, and skill levels.
