When my students walked into the room and saw these new additions, their faces instantly lit up with excitement. They couldn't believe that our classroom had been transformed into such a warm and welcoming space, and many of them immediately wanted to try out the bean bag and gather on the rug. It was a joyful moment that set a positive tone for the day and reminded them how much people outside our classroom care about their learning.\r\n\r\nWe have already started putting these resources to good use. The whiteboards have become a favorite tool during whole-group and small-group activities, allowing students to eagerly share their thinking and problem-solving strategies. The cozy rug and pillows have created a perfect space for independent reading and group discussions, while the bean bag chair has quickly become the most sought-after \"special seat\" for reading and reflection time. These additions have made our classroom feel more comfortable, collaborative, and student-centered.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far happened during a turn and talk. A small group of students gathered on the rug, sharing ideas using sentence stems written on the white board. They were so engaged in helping one another it filled my heart with joy. The supportive atmosphere made possible by your donations has truly elevated their creativity and collaboration. Thank you for helping us create a space where students feel inspired, focused, and excited to learn each day. These resources have made a tremendous difference in the daily learning experience of my students, and I want you to know just how much your generosity has impacted us.\r\n\r\nThe printer has been a true game-changer. I can now quickly print engaging, personalized materials for each of my students, in color — whether it's differentiated worksheets, graphic organizers, student certificates, or creative writing templates. I no longer have to rely solely on limited school printing access or wait in long lines at the copier. Having the printer right in our classroom has empowered me to be more responsive to student needs in the moment. When I notice a student struggling, I can print a quick support tool or enrichment activity right away. It has truly helped me tailor instruction in real-time, and that has made a difference in both academic performance and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe laminator has added a whole new level of durability and creativity to our materials. I can't wait to laminate my students' work. It will give them a sense of pride and importance, knowing their efforts are being showcased in a lasting way. \r\n\r\nThe supply caddies have helped us stay more organized and efficient. With a dedicated place for crayons, scissors, and pencils, students are able to access what they need quickly and return materials responsibly. \r\n\r\nBeyond the practical benefits, your donation has shown my students that there are people out there who care about their education and believe in their potential. That message is powerful. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity. Your support has made a lasting impact, not only in the way our classroom functions, but in how my students feel about learning and about themselves. We are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1746785749969,"projectUrl":"project/visual-aids-in-vivid-color/9188260/","projectTitle":"Visual Aids in Vivid Color","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8266934_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741391578302","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8266934"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40557","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":489,"numTeachers":51,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":22,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":52,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":73.2,"schoolId":40557,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Esther S Jackson Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Esther S Jackson Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/fulton-county-school-district/esther-s-jackson-elementary-school/40557"}
