The resources housed in the room, allows staff to offer immediate support for clothing, food, hygiene, and additional emergency needs for our students and families.\r\n\r\nHaving the opportunity to provide our students with a designated and private space, allows us to serve with dignity and respect while honoring our students and family privacy, plus providing for immediate needs. \r\n\r\nWhen a school can provide students and families with needed resources and supports, it positively impacts school attendance, self-confidence, self-determination, and facilitates trusting relationships. Our next steps for the resource room include expansion into a second location in the school building.
