During speech therapy, we use them to help our busy bodies stay moving while our brains focus on learning. It has been so fun to watch students wiggle, wobble, and work on their speech and language goals at the same time. Some students even say the chairs help them feel ready to learn! When the chairs first arrived, the excitement was HUGE. The students were eager to try them out, and there were lots of smiles, giggles, and happy wiggles as everyone took a turn. Now, we are putting our wobbly chairs to work as we practice speech sounds, build vocabulary, tell stories, and work together during games. Our next step is to keep using these fun seating options as we practice communicating with our friends, taking turns, listening, and sharing our ideas.
