Instead of simply receiving information, my students have been able to interact with what they are learning and demonstrate their understanding in creative ways. One of the greatest impacts I have seen is increased student engagement and participation. \r\n\r\nThe class set of highlighters, scissors, snacks, and headphones has been helpful. Students used highlighters to identify important information, annotate texts, find evidence, and organize their thinking during ELA and Social Studies activities. The scissors, and other hands-on materials allowed my students to create multimodal projects, manipulate information, and demonstrate their learning in ways that go beyond pencil and paper assignments. Because of you every student has the opportunity to participate, create, practice, and contribute in my classroom. This has helped me create a classroom environment where students feel prepared and excited to learn! Thank you for believing in my students and investing in their future.
