Your generosity has provided my students with access to a quality trumpet that will be used for years to come. One of the greatest barriers for students who want to participate in band is simply having access to an instrument. The parents of the students who have been able to use this trumpet were incredibly excited and grateful to learn that an instrument had been donated for their child to use. Because of your support, their children are able to participate in band alongside their classmates and friends without the cost of purchasing or renting an instrument standing in the way.\r\n\r\nThe trumpet is already being put to use as my students learn the fundamentals of playing, from producing a good tone and learning their first fingerings to reading notes and rhythms from our beginning band method book. One of the students who wrote a thank-you note is currently learning on the donated trumpet, while the other is a fellow trumpet player and friend who was just as excited to help say thank you. Their handwritten notes are a small glimpse of how much your support means to the students in our band program.\r\n\r\nNow, my students are looking forward to preparing for our winter concert! Over the next several months, we will continue developing their playing skills while learning how to listen, balance, and perform together as a full band. For many of these students, this will be one of their first opportunities to perform as an instrumental musician. Your donation has helped make that experience possible, and I cannot wait for them to share what they have learned with their families and school community. Thank you for investing in our young musicians!","fullyFundedDate":1786541713432,"projectUrl":"project/building-our-beginning-band-program-one/10381208/","projectTitle":"Building Our Beginning Band Program One Instrument at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ware","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8224119_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1784145626698","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8224119"},{"teacherId":9813464,"projectId":9323750,"letterContent":"My students and I have been using the new resources nonstop, from coloring paper and paint to watercolors and palettes, and every single item has already been put to great use.
