Because of your kindness, our students now have access to engaging equipment that encourages movement, teamwork, and healthy habits throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was immediate when the hula hoops arrived. Students were eager to try them out and quickly began challenging themselves and their classmates to see how long they could keep the hoops spinning. Many students who are typically hesitant to participate in physical activities were excited to join in, creating an inclusive and positive environment where everyone could experience success.\r\n\r\nWe have incorporated the hula hoops into physical education activities, brain breaks, and team-building exercises. One memorable moment occurred during a school-wide wellness activity when students worked together to complete relay challenges using the hoops. The laughter, encouragement, and teamwork displayed were truly heartwarming. It was wonderful to see students building confidence while staying active and engaged.\r\n\r\nBeyond physical activity, the hula hoops have also supported our efforts to improve focus and self-regulation. Students use movement breaks with the hoops to release energy and return to class ready to learn. These opportunities have been especially beneficial for students who need additional support with attention and executive functioning skills.","fullyFundedDate":1765473138252,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-middle-schoolers-stay-active-wi/9941144/","projectTitle":"Help Our Middle Schoolers Stay Active With Hula Hoops!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. L.
