At the beginning of the 2024-25 school year we moved into our new school. The new facilities are beautiful, including our new learning suites, however we did not have the kitchen materials necessary to teach life-skills to our students with disabilities. Through Doners Choose, we received brand new kitchen items to teach the very important life-skill of cooking! \r\n\r\nWe are using our items to teach measuring, reading recipes and cooking in a variety of ways including with a crock pot, in a microwave, in an oven and on a stove top. We received our items in a few separate orders and the kids were super excited each time we received a call from the office to let us know that we had another order! They quickly unpacked the boxes, which turned into a teaching opportunity in its own! I was able to talk about each item and what it is used for!
