Through your generous donation, these kiddos have been able to learn more about coding and explore the Edison robot. With the addition of Lego, students can personalize their robot and make it a truly unique experience.\r\n\r\nStudents began with barcode programming to get familiar with the features and functions of the robots. Now, they are exploring block coding and are working on mazes. They will code their own maze and then they will follow directions to code a classmate's maze. This really gets them in tune with the elements of computational thinking. Students are also working on a Robot Rescue mat and are able to complete different coding challenges to get the robots to travel across the city. \r\n\r\nI have seen these students light up when working with the robots and while working on writing code. Some even ask to stay in at recess to practice their coding skills. We are just at the beginning of this exciting endeavor and I am excited to see where they can go from here. Thank you so much for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1730761325612,"projectUrl":"project/code-construct-building-bots-today-fo/8900739/","projectTitle":"Code & Construct: Building Bots Today for a Better Tomorrow!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bryant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9814717_orig.png?crop=294,294,x0,y10&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730074360479","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9814717"},{"teacherId":9662148,"projectId":8728520,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom through Donors Choose. Your support has significantly impacted my third graders' ability to stay organized. My students can easily access their materials with the chair pockets and zipper pouches, which is especially helpful since they share desks.\r\n Since your donation, I have noticed significant improvements in our classroom organization. The chair pockets and zipper pouches have transformed how my third graders manage their supplies. Each student now has a specific spot for their materials, which minimizes confusion and makes it easy for them to find what they need. The chair pockets allow students to quickly grab their items without digging through shared desk space, saving valuable time during lessons. My students are also learning to organize their materials independently, which is an important skill for their academic growth. \r\n These improvements have contributed to a more focused and productive learning atmosphere in our third-grade classroom.
