We have been testing for our yearly ESOL state test, so today was the first day the kids got to come to ESOL. They were so excited when they came in and saw the nice, big bilingual rug. The kiddos loved the Spanish words and noticed them immediately. The Kindergarten kids started frog-hopping through the color words. This bilingual rug is already helping our group time so much. The students all have a place to sit. The second graders are already making themselves at home on the rug. They stretched out to do their computer English lessons yesterday (see pics). We have 98+ students in our ESOL classroom that come in and out all day to learn English. Gracias and Thank you so much for your generosity! It means the world to me to be able to have rewards to motivate them to learn to read and speak English. With the hurricane, I just did not have my own funds to replace the hundreds of dollars worth of prizes. This also gave me hope and excitement!
