A big part of putting on a musical in theatre is finding and/or creating the props in a show. When doing magical shows, particularly Disney shows, it can be difficult finding the props online or its too expensive buying them online. Using the 3D printer to help with our show Frozen Jr. has not only helped alleviate the stress of finding these very specific type props but it also has allowed my students to have full controls and creativity of how the prop is designed and made. It also gives them a skill that is becoming very prevalent in the Theatre/Film world where 3D printers are commonly used to build stuff for productions. \r\nIts also been a fun experience watching them problem solve when they have to trouble shoot the printer as it has been a learning curve for all of us. Being backstage in theatre means the crew is constantly needing to problem solve and this tool has definitely allowed them to work through that skill. Myself and the crew kids could't be more grateful to have this tool thatll help us for many years to come!
