Because of your generosity, my students now have greater access to the equipment they need to take what they are learning about coding and programming and put it into action. The additional CoDrone EDU equipment has allowed more students to work hands-on with the drones, controllers, and coding platform while developing skills in problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and perseverance. Instead of simply learning about coding concepts, students are able to write code, test it with a real drone, identify what went wrong, make adjustments, and try again!\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts has been seeing the excitement that comes with getting the drones into students' hands. For many of them, this is an opportunity unlike anything else they experience during the school day. They quickly discover that successfully operating and programming a drone requires much more than just making it fly. Students have to communicate with their teammates, carefully handle their equipment, troubleshoot problems, and continually improve their code and piloting skills. Every successful takeoff, completed coding challenge, and accomplished flight mission becomes a moment worth celebrating—and those moments are possible because donors like you invested in our classroom.\r\n\r\nOur work is just getting started! Students are continuing through our self-paced drone curriculum as they strengthen their coding and programming skills and prepare for our upcoming in-class qualifiers and drone competitions. As they progress, they will move from foundational skills into increasingly challenging autonomous coding missions and teamwork flight challenges. Ultimately, these resources are helping me provide students with an engaging pathway into STEM where they can see themselves not simply as students learning to code, but as future programmers, engineers, problem-solvers, and innovators.
