As a 5th grade math and science inclusion classroom, these resources have already made a huge difference in our daily learning. The notebooks are being used for interactive math journals where students solve problems, explain their thinking, and keep track of important strategies for standards like fractions, decimals, and numerical expressions. The pencils ensure every student is prepared and ready to learn each day without stress over missing supplies.\r\n\r\nThe dry erase markers have been a favorite because we use whiteboards almost every day during small group instruction and whole-group review. Students love being able to quickly solve problems, show their work, and correct mistakes without fear of \"messing up.\" It has made math much more engaging and interactive. The headphones have also been a game changer during station rotations, allowing students to independently complete i-Ready lessons, Google Classroom assignments, and targeted review activities without distractions.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited—especially about the headphones and fresh supplies. Many of my students attend a Title I school, so having their own classroom resources made them feel valued and supported. They immediately started asking when they could use them and thanked me for making sure they had what they needed to be successful.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are continuing to prepare for Georgia Milestones testing while building confidence and independence in math and science. Students are using these materials daily during review stations, collaborative problem solving, and intervention groups. These resources are helping create a classroom where students feel prepared, capable, and excited to learn. Because of our donors' generosity, my students are not just receiving supplies—they are receiving opportunities to grow and succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1750773691310,"projectUrl":"project/launching-bright-futures-equipping-my-5/9411127/","projectTitle":"Launching Bright Futures: Equipping My 5th Grade Classroom for Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moose","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10055319_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777133333073","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10055319"},{"teacherId":435344,"projectId":10158142,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, our classroom has been transformed into a space where reading is exciting, accessible, and meaningful for every student. The new books have made an immediate impact on my students, especially those in our Early Intervention Program (EIP), who benefit from extra support in reading.\r\n\r\nSince introducing these books, I have seen a noticeable increase in student engagement and confidence. My students are eager to pick out books, spend more time reading independently, and participate more actively during small group instruction. Many of them are now choosing books that match their reading level, which is helping them improve their fluency and comprehension skills.\r\n\r\nOne of the most powerful changes has been in their mindset. Students who once felt discouraged about reading are now proud to call themselves readers. They are excited to share stories, recommend books to their classmates, and celebrate their progress.\r\n\r\nYour support has provided more than just books—it has created opportunities for growth, confidence, and a love of learning that will last far beyond our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of my students!","fullyFundedDate":1773849270245,"projectUrl":"project/building-confident-readers-an-eip-class/10158142/","projectTitle":"Building Confident Readers: An EIP Classroom Library That Inspires","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. DuPree","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp435344_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749514669221","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/julie-dupree"},{"teacherId":1027711,"projectId":9400285,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all of the wonderful school supplies that we have received. The new storage shelf has given my students a central, organized space to access the reading and writing materials they use every day. Instead of spending time searching for supplies or waiting for materials to be passed out, students can now independently find what they need and get started right away.\r\n\r\nThe shelf has also helped build a stronger sense of responsibility and ownership in our classroom. Students take pride in keeping the materials organized and returning items to their labeled spaces. This simple system has created smoother transitions between activities and allowed us to spend more time focused on learning.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this project has supported my students' growth as readers and writers. Having easy access to books, notebooks, and writing tools encourages them to engage more confidently in literacy activities.
