It inspired them to begin observing the world around them, encouraging them to ask questions and explore the unknown. Students learned how to approach challenges with an investigative mindset, much like the process of developing a computer.\r\n\r\nOur scholars were able to immerse themselves in the narrative, making connections between the fictional world of the book and their own lives. They related to the characters' experiences, particularly as they navigated the mysterious world of computer development and the secretive nature of the hidden computer science lab on their campus. Students also saw how the characters interacted with adults, who were either part of or trying to hide the secrets of this technological world.\r\n\r\nThrough the story, students gained a deeper understanding of how computers are created, from basic commands and protocols to the complex machines we use today. They were able to trace the journey of computer creation, learning about the essential components of technology along the way.","fullyFundedDate":1722526120027,"projectUrl":"project/programming-games-apps-and-society-rea/8520102/","projectTitle":"Programming, Games, Apps and Society Reading for Real-World Connections","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ross","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8903142_orig.jpg?crop=1984,1984,x0,y760&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743715836285","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8903142"},{"teacherId":8903142,"projectId":8522323,"letterContent":"This book series allowed students to follow the journey of computer development through curious kids, just like them.
