Everglades Ambassadors Club is the first club in Osceola County designated to create awareness of this amazing habitat. Although we have many plans, having binoculars and a microscope helped students have a first-hand experience on a habitat that we consider our backyard.\r\n\r\nWhen we first received the materials, students were able to go outside and see birds and turtles near the school pond. They also saw squirrels playing by the trees! My heart rejoiced to see them so excited to learn something new. We practiced few times before our field trip for students to feel comfortable. \r\n\r\nThe day of our field trip, students were able to spot wading birds near the boardwalk. Students also took an airboat ride, where they were able to see more birds.
