The students have been thrilled to play with our new therapy toys and are especially excited to earn prizes from our new super-cool treasure box.\r\n\r\nOur K–2nd grade students are currently working on the story There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Books, focusing on important skills such as sequencing, reading comprehension, and vocabulary development. They have been excited to use the new materials to make learning fun and engaging!\r\n\r\nThe Minecraft magnetic blocks have also been a super engaging toy for my older kiddos during small-group therapy. They have loved building and creating with the blocks while working on communication, social skills, following directions, problem-solving, and other important therapy goals. Having fun, hands-on activities like these helps keep students motivated and actively engaged in their learning.\r\n\r\nMy Pre-K students have especially loved engaging with the Hot Wheels toy car set. We are using the cars to practice core vocabulary words such as go, stop, want, more, and play while encouraging communication and interaction through play.\r\n\r\nYour generous donations have already made a huge impact in our classroom, and they will continue to support our students' learning, communication, and development throughout the year.
