We are currently working through a jobsite math section and I supplement weekly with a college and career themed lesson. Not only have they been solving word problems and equations, they've also been brainstorming various aspects of what it means to be employable. Additionally, they've worked through workplace documentation and steps to acquire it. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the whiteboards, they were curious. I had them assemble them in class which also turned into a \"construction project\". It was perfect! They love to use them as often as I allow. \r\n\r\nI plan on continuing to use them throughout the year for various drawing and blueprinting projects as well as continuing with the group assignments we've been working on.","fullyFundedDate":1758125092390,"projectUrl":"project/coach-daymons-building-trades-whiteboar/9695200/","projectTitle":"Coach Daymon’s Building Trades Whiteboard Project","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Daymon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10247114"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_46555","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2190,"numTeachers":100,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":35,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":39,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"8 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"21.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.5,"schoolId":46555,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Palmetto High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Palmetto High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/school-district-of-manatee-county/palmetto-high-school/46555"}
