This printer has made a meaningful difference in how I support my students, especially when we are learning science vocabulary, diagrams, models and other visual concepts. In science,, students often need to see pictures, labels, and examples in order to truly understand what they are learning, and color makes those visuals much easier to read and use.\r\n\r\nMy students have been most excited about using the printed visuals in their interactive notebooks. Instead of only copying notes or lookin gat black and white diagrams, they can now add colorful vocabulary cards, picture examples, diagrams, and notebook pieces that help them organize their learning. This has been especially helpful for my English Language Learners and students who need extra support because the visuals give them another way to access the content and remember important ideas. \r\n\r\nYour donation has helped me create more engaging, student friendly materials that my students can keep and refer back to throughout the year. These materials have given my students opportunities to move beyond simply learning about technology and entrepreneurship and actually experience what it feels like to create, problem-solve, collaborate, and turn an idea into something they can be proud of.\r\n\r\nOne of the things I have enjoyed most is watching my students become excited about learning. Students who may not always be the first to participate in a traditional lesson have become more engaged when they are able to work hands-on, explore technology, and use their own creativity. They are beginning to see that the skills we practice in class—communication, teamwork, digital literacy, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and technology—are skills they can use in high school, college, careers, and even to start businesses of their own someday.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, I am able to provide my students with learning experiences that make our classroom feel connected to the real world. More importantly, my students are learning that their ideas have value and that they can be creators, innovators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we received financial literacy books, a coding book, pens, and snacks. Each of these resources has helped us create a classroom where students can learn practical skills while feeling supported and prepared.\r\n\r\nThe financial literacy books have been an important addition to our lessons. My students are learning about budgeting, saving, spending, needs versus wants, financial decision-making, and preparing for their futures. These books allow us to take financial concepts and connect them to situations students will experience in the real world. I especially enjoy hearing students discuss what they would do in different financial situations and explain the reasoning behind their choices.\r\n\r\nThe coding book has allowed us to expand our learning into technology and computer science. Students are exploring coding, problem-solving, logical thinking, and how technology connects to future careers. It has been exciting to see students become curious about what happens behind the technology they use every day.\r\n\r\nThe pens have made sure students have the supplies they need to participate in activities, take notes, complete assignments, and work through our financial and technology lessons. The snacks have also been greatly appreciated by my students and help provide a little extra energy and motivation during our learning activities.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited when they saw all of the new resources because they immediately recognized that these were materials selected specifically to help them succeed. More importantly, they are learning that financial literacy and technology are not simply school subjects. These are skills they can use throughout their lives.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, we will use these resources to explore financial literacy, business, coding, technology, career opportunities, and other real-world skills. My goal is for students to leave my classroom more knowledgeable, confident, and prepared to make decisions about their education, careers, finances, and futures.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and believing in what we are building in our classroom. Your generosity has provided much more than books, pens, and snacks. You have provided resources that are helping my students learn skills they can carry with them long after they leave my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1786366983672,"projectUrl":"project/preparing-tomorrows-adults-through-fina/10355871/","projectTitle":"Preparing Tomorrow’s Adults Through Financial Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Foster","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9346465_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700889980243","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9346465"},{"teacherId":9346465,"projectId":10348766,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my project, \"Teaching Today's Students to Build Tomorrow's Wealth.\" Your generosity has given my students the opportunity to learn important financial and career-readiness skills in a way that feels real, engaging, and connected to their futures.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new resources to help students understand topics such as budgeting, saving, spending wisely, making financial decisions, and preparing for life beyond the classroom. Instead of simply reading about these concepts, students are able to participate in activities that ask them to think about how they would handle real-life financial situations.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments has been watching students begin to realize that money management is something they can start learning now. During our classroom discussions and activities, students have asked questions, compared choices, and talked about what they would do differently with their own money. Seeing students become interested in topics that will directly affect their futures has been extremely rewarding.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were excited to have resources that were created for them and that allowed them to participate instead of simply listening to a lesson. Having engaging, hands-on materials has helped make our classroom learning more interactive and has encouraged students to take greater ownership of their work.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building on these foundational skills. Students will apply what they have learned through additional real-world activities involving budgeting, financial goals, career choices, income, saving, and responsible decision-making. My goal is for students to leave this class understanding that the choices they begin making today can have an impact on the opportunities they have tomorrow.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and believing that financial education matters. Your support has provided more than classroom materials—you have helped give my students knowledge and skills they can carry with them long after they leave my classroom.
