My students use them during collaboration activities to brainstorm, solve problems, and share their thinking with the class. For example, in a recent science lesson on variables, each group used their board to design and label their own experiment. Then we did a \"gallery walk,\" moving around the room so students could teach each other. The mobility of the boards makes it easy for everyone to stand, move, and engage with the material in a hands-on way.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the white boards, they were so excited! Several immediately asked if they could be the one to \"write for the group,\" and it's clear they feel a sense of ownership when they get to use them. Having a large, visible space just for their group's ideas makes even my quieter students eager to contribute.\r\n\r\nAs we move into our next unit, students will continue using these boards to practice scientific thinking building models, drawing diagrams, and debating answers together. Thank you so much for your donations that gave my students calculators that have made an impact in the classroom environment! The calculators are a hit and have been a huge help for all my students who get to use them when computing math. Everyday my students learn new functions on their calculators that help them focus more on math concepts instead of computations. \r\n\r\nSince TI30xa calculators are allowed on the End of Course (EOC) Algebra I exam, my students now have the opportunity to be familiar with the device and feel confident in using them on their EOC exam. The Algebra EOC is a requirement for graduation! Your donations impact their success on using TI30xa technology on their exams. \r\n\r\nMy students and I very grateful for your generous donation of calculators that will be a huge part of their learning success this year!
