There was an immediate sense of excitement as they saw the bright, engaging supplies and brand-new books. Many of my students do not often receive new materials of their own, so this moment felt very special to them. They were eager to explore everything, and their enthusiasm carried throughout the day. It was heartwarming to see their smiles and hear their excitement as they realized these resources were for them to use and enjoy.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the new resources every day in our classroom. The mini whiteboards quickly became one of our most-used tools. Students love practicing their writing, spelling, and math skills on them. It has made learning more interactive and less intimidating, especially for students who may feel unsure about making mistakes. One memorable moment was during a reading lesson when students used their boards to sound out words and write simple sentences. They were so proud to share their answers, and it created a supportive environment where everyone felt comfortable participating.\r\n\r\nThe Wikki Stix and scratch art kits have added a creative and hands-on element to our lessons. Students have used them during centers to build shapes, form letters, and create colorful designs. These activities not only support fine motor development but also allow students to express themselves creatively. The butterfly and dinosaur scratch art projects were especially exciting—students carefully designed their artwork and proudly showed it to their classmates.\r\n\r\nThe leveled comic book sets have made a huge impact on our reading time. These books are engaging, fun, and perfectly suited for our students' reading levels. Even reluctant readers have been excited to pick up a book and start reading. We have used them in small groups and independent reading time, and I have already seen growth in confidence and fluency. Students love the humor in the stories, which keeps them motivated and eager to continue reading.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these materials will continue to support our classroom learning in meaningful ways. Students will be working on reading comprehension, storytelling, and writing their own simple comics inspired by the books. The whiteboards will remain a key part of daily instruction, and the creative supplies will be used to connect art with literacy and other subjects.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided more than just supplies—it has created joy, confidence, and a love for learning in our classroom. Thank you again for making such a positive difference in the lives of my students. Your support truly means the world to us.","fullyFundedDate":1669731482627,"projectUrl":"project/spread-some-holiday-cheer/7046037/","projectTitle":"Spread Some Holiday Cheer!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8471884_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752184572188","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8471884"},{"teacherId":8471884,"projectId":7392420,"letterContent":"Because of your generous support, our classroom has been transformed into a more interactive and engaging learning space. The dry erase boards, markers, and pockets have become essential tools in our daily lessons. Students now actively participate by writing their answers, practicing phonics skills, and solving problems right at their desks. One of our favorite moments was during a phonics lesson when students used their mini whiteboards to build and change words. Their excitement was clear as they eagerly held up their boards to share their answers, and even my quieter students felt confident enough to participate.\r\n\r\nThe storage pocket chart has also helped us stay organized and structured. Each student has their own space, making transitions smoother and giving them a sense of responsibility for their materials. The dry erase pockets have allowed us to reuse worksheets, which has made learning more sustainable and flexible. Students love being able to practice again and again without worrying about making mistakes—they simply erase and try again! Seeing their confidence grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of using these new resources.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They were eager to use their own whiteboards and colorful erasers, and it instantly boosted engagement across the classroom. What might have been a simple lesson quickly turned into an interactive experience where every student was involved. Your generosity has truly made learning more hands-on and enjoyable.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we plan to continue using these tools to support reading and writing development, especially during small group instruction and literacy centers. Students will use the whiteboards and pockets to practice sentence building, spelling patterns, and reading comprehension activities. These resources will also support collaborative learning, where students can work together, share ideas, and grow as confident learners.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a meaningful impact in our classroom. Your kindness has created opportunities for my students to engage, practice, and succeed every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1687377981421,"projectUrl":"project/set-up-for-success/7392420/","projectTitle":"Set Up for Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8471884_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752184572188","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8471884"},{"teacherId":8471884,"projectId":6474733,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my students have experienced learning in a whole new wayone that is active, joyful, and meaningful. The phonics flash cards have become a daily part of our literacy routine, helping students strengthen their understanding of word families and spelling patterns. One memorable moment was when we took our learning outside using sidewalk chalk. Students worked in small groups to write word family words on the pavement, read them aloud, and even create simple sentences. Watching them collaborate, sound out words, and proudly share their work showed just how impactful these resources have been in building both skills and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe hands-on materials have also made a big difference in student engagement. When the Play-Doh arrived, students were thrilled. We used it during literacy centers to form letters and build words, giving students a tactile way to practice phonics. The bubble wands and jump ropes have been especially exciting during brain breaks and reward times. Students were overjoyed when they first saw them, and these activities have helped create a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated and ready to learn. Even my most reluctant learners are now more willing to participate because learning feels fun and interactive.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue to integrate these materials into both academic and social learning. Students will use the flash cards and Play-Doh to build more complex words and sentences, while outdoor activities with chalk and bubbles will support movement-based learning and teamwork. We are also focusing on building stronger reading fluency and confidence, and these resources will play a key role in that growth.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students opportunities to learn through creativity, movement, and exploration.
