They've learned new techniques, explored different art mediums, and discovered that art is not just fun—it's also a powerful way to express emotions, tell stories, and build self-confidence.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for our students has been the freedom to create without limits. Having a fully stocked supply room means students can take creative risks and explore their ideas without worrying about running out of materials. This summer, they worked on self-portraits, community murals, and even tried their hand at mixed media projects—all of which would not have been possible without you.\r\n\r\nOne student who had never taken an art class before joined our summer art club a bit nervously, unsure of what to expect. By the end of the program, they were leading a group collage project and excitedly asking about art opportunities during the school year. With working mic packs, our students' voices are now heard clearly—even in the back row—which has boosted their confidence and stage presence. The lighting has helped us create powerful moods and scenes, adding a whole new layer of storytelling. And the sound board allows our students to learn real technical skills while controlling the flow of the show—live!\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects for our students has been the chance to work with real stage technology. For some, it's sparked an interest in behind-the-scenes roles like lighting design or sound engineering. For others, it's given them the confidence to step onto the stage and project their voices with pride.\r\n\r\nWe've seen quiet students come out of their shells, especially those helping backstage. One student who used to shy away from attention has become our go-to tech lead, learning how to balance mic levels and run sound cues like a pro.
