The phonics posters have been an essential part of our instruction as we learned about digraphs, trigraphs, diphthongs, and parts of a sentence. During lessons, the posters served as clear visual references, and afterward we placed them on a bulletin board so students could independently refer back to them throughout the day. Having these visuals readily available has helped students build confidence as they decode words and apply phonics skills during reading and writing.\r\nReading in our classroom is active, comfortable, and joyful. Students use decodable texts during phonics lessons, and once their work is complete—or during end-of-day routines—they are able to choose books from our classroom library as an early-finisher activity. With the donated stools, along with our couch and shag carpet, students have a cozy, welcoming space where they can relax and read. Many students are especially excited about the Dog Man and Junie B. Jones series, and they love having immediate access to the next book without waiting for a trip to the media center.\r\nThe new books have also helped us explore important reading skills such as text features. Students learned how to use the table of contents to find chapter names and page numbers, and they practiced identifying headings and subheadings using the donated books as real-world examples. These resources have been a wonderful addition to our classroom library and have encouraged curiosity, independence, and enthusiasm for reading. Thank you for helping create an environment where students feel excited to learn and empowered as readers.","fullyFundedDate":1760021482918,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seats-bright-minds-a-fresh-st/9413860/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seats, Bright Minds: A Fresh Start in 2nd Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Prescott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10056382_orig.png?crop=112,112,x4,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750011582067","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10056382"},{"teacherId":10081065,"projectId":9589532,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! The case keeps everything neatly organized, and my students absolutely love using the tools, molds, and letter and number stamps.
