The boating experience impacted the student artists as they sketched and researched ideas for original artwork in a nontraditional classroom setting. The quality art materials purchased added to the excitement of the boating experience as generic student-grade art supplies are often shared by all Art classes. The students used them weekly and were very prepared for the National Science Bowl regional competition. Against very seasoned competition and teams, our teams competing for the first time in many years did very well, with one team making the finals bracket! Our team of juniors is extremely motivated for next year and our results will be even better. Without the buzzers, practice would not have been nearly as effective.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, other teachers in the science department have been using the buzzers for game show type review for exams. This is very motivational for students and provides fun learning during stressful times. My students really appreciate the pick me up during the day. I understand there are so many worthy causes out there. So, I am so happy that you chose my grant to donate to.
