With your help, I was able to purchase enough robotics kits for my classroom for students to work in small groups of 3-4. We have partnered with a 1st and 3rd grade class at our neighboring elementary school to create a robotic petting zoo! Our elementary friends have completed a research project on a chosen animal, and my students are creating a robotic version of that animal. The robots are interactive, meaning that the elementary schools can \"pet\" or \"feed\" them and the robots will react! We will be visiting the school next week to share our creations.\r\n\r\nMy students have been so engaged with these new materials. We have learned how to light up an LED and make it blink and cycle through different colors. We learned how to program a motor to simulate a tail wagging back and forth. We also learned how to use different sensors to make our models more interactive. The way they lit up each time they figured out how to do something new was so incredible! They come into class so excited to learn and try new things.
