In the world of math, students need to be able to solve real-world problems. They need to be able to analyze real situations and work toward solutions as well as innovative ways to approach new situations. I'd like to incorporate the drones in my class and have students explore careers in aviation by allowing them to code and fly their own drones, learning skills to guide the drones through courses involving coordinate grids. I plan to set up stations in the classroom where students will work on coding and testing their drones in a small course and work up to navigating through a full course that will be set up outside or possibly in the cafeteria (or other open-space room).
