We paired up books that we had more than one of to laminate. Second grade students are eager to move on to \"big kid books\" also known as chapter books. Putting the lower reading level chapter books into their hands helps to not only build their confidence but to also encourage their love of reading. The Press Start books have been very popular with all of the students in the classroom. They are fun, entertaining, and on just the right level for them to read independently and be successful. Graphic novels are quickly becoming the first choice of students when going to the library, so I thank you for helping me put them in my classroom so that they are readily available to all of my young readers.
