Your donation has made a lasting difference for students at two schools. When I created this project, I was teaching at Lakeland Highlands Middle, and the new chess boards, timers, and notation sheets you funded stayed there when I transferred to McLaughlin Middle and High over the summer.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, the chess program at Lakeland Highlands has grown tremendously. They now have over 30 students in the club and nearly 20 on the competition team. The new equipment has allowed every student to practice, compete, and grow in confidence.\r\n\r\nMeanwhile, I was able to bring the older equipment to McLaughlin, which made it possible to restart a chess club that hadn't existed in more than ten years. We now have about five regular members who come each week to learn, play, and improve. This year, we even took our first student to a tournament in over a decade—a milestone that meant so much to our school community.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just fund materials—it created opportunities, built confidence, and reignited a love of chess for dozens of students.
