Because of your support, our classroom has become an even more engaging and exciting place to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled. They eagerly gathered around as we unpacked each item, asking questions and sharing their excitement about how we would use them. It was heartwarming to see how something new could spark such enthusiasm and curiosity.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these resources, they have become a valuable part of our daily learning. My third graders have used them during whole-group lessons, small-group instruction, and independent activities. One of my favorite moments was watching students collaborate during a hands-on math activity. They were actively discussing strategies, solving problems together, and encouraging one another. The resources helped bring learning to life and allowed students to engage with concepts in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, these materials have helped build confidence and excitement for learning. Students who are often hesitant to participate have become more willing to take risks, share their thinking, and celebrate their successes with their classmates.\r\n\r\nAs we continue learning, students will use these resources to strengthen their critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. We are excited to continue exploring new concepts and applying what we have learned through engaging, hands-on experiences. The impact of your gift will continue long after this school year ends.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and showing them that there are people who care about their education and future. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in our classroom, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1776089016410,"projectUrl":"project/building-math-minds-through-hands-on-lea/10100002/","projectTitle":"Building Math Minds Through Hands-On Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arroyo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5959472_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1539038957704","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5959472"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_47015","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1059,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":26,"percentWhite":21,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":45,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"27.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.5,"schoolId":47015,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lake Alfred Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lake Alfred Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/polk-county-school-district/lake-alfred-elementary-school/47015"}
