Our giant Connect Four game is in the process of becoming a word family game, where the students will have to get four of the same word family words in a row to win. Our Toss Across game is becoming a letter and sound recognition game, where they will draw a card and say the letter name and its sound before tossing a bean bag at the matching letter. They really love the yellow color that I picked out too! \r\n Our first activity that we did while \"Sitting In Style\", was a letter memory matching game. We used our little rubber ducks from another Donors Choose project to play the game :o) The kids really love sitting at our new table and chairs, as they can see and reach the activities better.\r\n This year with our new \"Sitting In Style\" furniture, my students and I will be able to work more comfortably together on our different learning activities. Your generosity has given my students new and exciting ways to learn, play, explore, and build important skills while enjoying time outdoors.\r\n\r\nMy students have already been having so much fun with the new materials. They have enjoyed creating and drawing on the outdoor chalkboard, and the stepping stones have been a wonderful way for them to practice balance, coordination, and gross motor skills through play. Our new wagon has made it so much easier for us to carry our materials outside, and the children are always excited to see what we are bringing out for the day. They have also loved the trampoline, bubbles, chalk, and other items that make our outdoor time even more engaging and fun.\r\n\r\nFor my Pre-K students, play is such an important part of learning. These materials allow us to work on motor skills, sensory exploration, creativity, communication, taking turns, and following directions while giving the children opportunities to simply have fun and be kids. We will continue using these resources throughout the school year to create new outdoor activities and learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make these experiences possible for my students.
