Your generosity has already made a meaningful impact on both our 8th‑grade mentors and the 5th graders they support.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our students now have access to high‑quality SEL journals, conversation cubes, social‑skills games, and emotional‑regulation tools that have transformed the way we run our weekly mentoring sessions. These resources are used during guided discussions, role‑play activities, and growth‑mindset lessons that help our younger students build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping strategies.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far happened during a session on managing stress. A 5th grader rolled a conversation cube that asked, \"What helps you calm down when you feel overwhelmed?\" After thinking for a moment, he said, \"Talking to my Power Pal helps.\" His mentor wrote the moment in her SEL journal, and it was a powerful reminder of how meaningful these relationships have become.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, our 8th graders were excited to explore everything and immediately started planning how they would use the tools with their mentees. The 5th graders were just as enthusiastic — many flipped through their journals and asked, \"This is really for me?\" The resources helped them feel valued and supported before the program even began.\r\n\r\nWe are now moving into the next phase of our mentoring program, where students will use these materials to work on growth‑mindset challenges, organization skills, and end‑of‑year reflection activities. Your support is helping our 5th graders enter middle school feeling prepared, confident, and connected — and giving our 8th graders the chance to grow as leaders.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and investing in their emotional well‑being. Your generosity didn't just provide materials — it created a safe, supportive space for mentorship, belonging, and growth.","fullyFundedDate":1767213708984,"projectUrl":"project/wellness-warriors-power-pals-program/9936295/","projectTitle":"Wellness Warriors: Power Pals Program","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Williams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8122603_orig.jpg?crop=1128,1128,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651018335493","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8122603"},{"teacherId":8122603,"projectId":8726560,"letterContent":"Thank you for your remarkable generosity and for choosing to support the Wellness Warriors project.
